Dr. Frankie Ferrara is a dedicated veterinarian who joined the hospital team in November 2025. A Sayville, NY native, she earned her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences (with a minor in chemistry) from Long Island University before continuing to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the same institution, graduating Cum Laude in 2024. Her professional interests include surgery and ophthalmology, and she is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Ferrara is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized care, and she finds the most rewarding part of her work to be treating every patient with gold standard care, as she would her own pet.
She shares her life with her beloved dachshunds—Slinky, Doodle, Nathan, and Oscar—who inspired her path into animal care. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Ferrara enjoys boating, spending time outdoors, playing with her dogs, and traveling. She also completed a rotating internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island, further strengthening her clinical skills and commitment to exceptional patient care.
