Emergency Care

Our Commack Veterinary Center team is experienced at handling urgent cases, as well as the high-end specialty surgeries that such emergencies often require and we’re always ready to handle such situations during our regular office hours.

While we understand you may not always be in a position to call in advance, if you are able to do so it will help our staff be prepared for your pet’s arrival so he or she gets much-needed medical care that much sooner.
Signs your pet may need emergency care:

  • Pale gums
  • Rapid breathing
  • Weak or rapid pulse
  • Change in body temperature
  • Difficulty standing
  • Apparent paralysis
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Seizures
  • Excessive bleeding

If your pet is displaying any of the above symptoms, bring him or her into us right away or call us at (631) 462-0191. Should your pet require emergency care after-hours, call or visit Veterinary Emergency Group any time day or night.
