Dr. Laura Parente earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from St. Lawrence University before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed a rigorous internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island, where she gained advanced experience in small animal medicine. For over a decade, Dr. Parente has been dedicated to practicing high-quality veterinary medicine and she is excited to be joining the wonderful team at Commack Veterinary Center. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Parente enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons and relaxing with a good book.
